Pidgin isn't even trash, they just say it is because you'll hear it more used with low to mid income earners and more high income earners use normal english. In Jamaica low, mid or high income earners you'll hear patwa being used. Even black americans use ebonics (granted you'll hear it more in hood places).

when you've lived abroad for a while the way you speak changes - you assimilate through frequent association - same way foreigners pick up our accent when they come here. I speak with my Nigerian accent cos I love it but I Def don't sound all the way Nigerian sometimes because English speaking is beyond accent. this just me tho
