Carmelo was given a plea deal just like the other guy. The other guy took his plea deal. Carmelo’s parents told him not to.

People kill me comparing cases. Every case is unique from every other case. Different states, dif laws, dif witnesses, dif evidence, dif judge, dif prosecutor, dif defense lawyer, dif jury. Everything is different. And if u compare one case to another, you’re doing yourself a disservice.

His sentence was a direct result of himself not testify. The jury did not see him remorseful, and no one on the jury was given a reason why not to sentence him that harshly.

Did the other case settle with a plea deal? Anthony’s legal team would have known with a plea deal Anthony would get alot less time .. so why didnt this happen?

The circumstances in those 2 cases are different, so it’s difficult to make a direct comparison. However, I must admit that throughout my law enforcement career, I have seen sentencing discrepancies occur in other cases.
