@100miles100clubs1: Club No. 39 @Manchester United! Bohdi and his Dad were in the area this day so thought they’d run a quick mile whilst they were there! Bohdi loved Old Trafford. He was in awe, especially in the club shop 😂, it’s such an iconic stadium. #100miles100clubs #oldtrafford #manchesterunited #manutd #gloryglorymanunited

🚨 FOOD MARKETING 101: putting “PROTEIN” on a food that was already high in protein. The new Primo Protein Double Smoked Leg Ham is advertising 19g of natural protein per serve… Let’s compare them per 100g: 🥩 Primo “Protein” Double Smoked Ham 20g protein 3.3g fat 1g carbs 1010mg sodium 113 calories 🥩 Primo standard English Ham 18.6g protein 3.8g fat 1g carbs 846mg sodium 111 calories So for 100g of ham, the special PROTEIN version gives you… ✨ 1.4g more protein. ✨ That’s it. Calorie-wise? They’re essentially identical. Macro-wise? They’re essentially identical. Ingredient-wise? They’re also very similar: pork, water, salt/cure, mineral salts, sugar, acidity regulators, antioxidant and preservative. The Protein version also contains added pork protein, which helps bump that protein number up slightly. And this is where food marketing gets clever. The front of the packet tells you “19g protein”, but the listed serving size for the Protein ham is 95g. The standard ham uses a 50g serving, providing 9.3g protein. If you ate 95g of the standard ham instead? You’d get roughly 17.7g protein anyway. So you’re essentially looking at: 19g vs 17.7g protein for the same amount of food. This doesn’t make the Protein version a bad product. It also doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy it if you prefer the taste, convenience or packaging. But it DOES demonstrate why we need to look past front-of-pack marketing. Moral of the story: Turn the packet over. Compare products per 100g, not just the flashy claims on the front. Sometimes you’re not buying a nutritional upgrade. You’re buying a marketing upgrade. 🫠 #protein #groceryshopping #GymTok #nutrition
