in sorry I love my piggy but shes my last one I can't always buy them a friend when one does, I bought this one after my other ones friend passed and then the one I got my current one for passed like a week after getting her.. I can't be stuck in the cycle forever and I'm not getting rid of her.

Okay, I agree with everything except the “lonely piggy” point. I do think that all guinea pigs should ideally have a friend because I understand how important companionship is for them. However, there are some circumstances where this may not be possible, such as when a piggy’s companion passes away. In my case, one of my guinea pigs recently passed away, which left my other piggy alone. I did lots of research, and most advice suggested getting another guinea pig, which I was planning to do. However, I noticed that my remaining piggy was actually thriving better on his own. He was eating more, drinking more, playing more, and squeaking more. So why would I stress him out by pairing him with a new friend if he seems happier on his own? Also, what about guinea pigs that medically cannot be paired with another? I do agree that guinea pigs should generally have a companion, but I think there are some situations where it may be better for them not to.

i got 2 males in seperate cages, they have to have space and something blocking their view or they bite at the bars like crazy. they still hear and smell but they cant see eachother. i did try to bond but they got aggressive and it didnt work. it sucks, bc i wish they could bond😭

any responsible guinea pig owner should know that some guinea pigs (especially males) MUST be alone or they will fight horribly

Guys I need more ppls advice. My bf randomly came home w a guinea pig from pet smart (I’ve scolded him for purchasing from there) and they told him that he was super aggressive with other pigs so we shouldn’t get another but i genuinely don’t trust that at all, so do I get another pig and take the risk of maybe ending up with 3 if he doesn’t like him . He free roams a lot, we play with him and cuddle for hours I just get so worried he may be lonely.

i just had surgery and i’m not able to clean my enclosures every day, so i made sure they were as clean as possible the day before my surgery and i feel so bad that they have a dirty home rn but i don’t have anyone to do it for me 🙁

I have one male guinea pig, I can’t have two because my parents don’t want another one. I feel so guilty but here is the thing when I went to petco my parents told me I could have two but when we got there they only got 1 I was happy but still mad because I don’t agree to their decision. I can’t buy another one by myself since I’m a minor and I don’t have my own money ):
