"your kids won't eat anything" uh no if they don't like something she finds something else that her kids like. THAT is the difference. The difference is putting in the effort in your children and treating them like humans. Listen to your children adapt to what they like and don't like omfg how do people not understand

at the end of the day no two kids are the same and every parent should try learn how to make their kid healthy and happy and set boundaries accordingly what works for one family (no food rules, full autonomy around food) wont necessarily work for another ( a bit more rigidity and support around meal times and snacks(

I asked my almost two year old if she was done her lunch. She shrugged her shoulders and said “I’m full” .. she only ate two bites, but she said she’s full. It’s her body 💁 I’m just doing my best here

I had to sit and finish every bite. That I didn’t put on my plate. It messed me up.

so good. I really try to talk about food in a manner where they relate food to what fuels their bodies to work and grow efficiently, and what is not good for our bodies. So we fuel our bodies first and enjoy treats once in a while.

My son is 2 and will only eat 2 or 3 things at the moment! At what age did you start educating and they accepted to try it? Cause he won’t even try new things. He is also extremely texture sensitive.

what we wound up doing for our autistic children was to put everything that we were serving on the plate or bowl next to each other so that they have the ability to choose the things that they wanted to eat and the things that they didn't and we stopped mentioning or requiring them to eat the things that they didn't like and they're more adventurous and accepting of everything that we put on a plate now then they ever were before and I think that says a lot because that can work for a variety of neurospaces including but not limited to variety of mental health conditions

I love this. I saw a video 3 years ago that changed how I would raise my now 10 month old. A girl said that from being told ‘you have to eat everything on your plate’ or ‘you have to eat that, others kids would be so grateful for a meal that big’ caused her to over eat and created an eating disorder in her adult life by needing to finish her meal. Thank you so much for sharing these views with us. I will be enforcing with my son ❤️

My brother ate nothing but chicken nuggets until he was 12 and now has the most diverse palette out of all of us that were forced to eat and finish “proper meals”
