@offenceregister: Ian Neasham Londonderry Paedophile Sex Offender Ian Neasham, a "predatory sex offender" found guilty of raping and assaulting young girls in Londonderry, was given a 28-year prison sentence. Over the course of 11 years, Ian Neasham, 65, of Londonderry, North Yorkshire, committed a "deplorable series of abuses" against three victims. At Teesside Crown Court, he was found guilty of 24 charges, including nine instances of rape. He was told on Monday that in order to be eligible for parole, he must serve at least two-thirds of his sentence. Ian Neasham was arrested in November 2020 after one of his victims told a trusted person about his crimes, which had started in the 1990s. Two more victims emerged as a result, according to North Yorkshire Police. When the abuse started, Ian Neasham's youngest victim was ten years old. Victim interviews, disclosures to counsellors, and searches of Ian Neasham's premises and digital equipment facilitated the imposition of 25 charges against him by the authorities. Ian Neasham denied all allegations and was acquitted on one charge of indecent assault; nevertheless convicted guilty of nine charges of rape, seven charges of indecent assault, and two charges of sexual intercourse with a juvenile. He was convicted on two charges of generating indecent images of a kid, three counts of possessing indecent photographs of a child, and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image. Ian Neasham's prison sentence will be followed by a four-year extended licence, and he has been placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely. An indefinite restraining order will explicitly prevent any further communication with the victim. #IanNeasham #Londonderry #NorthYorkshire #NorthYorkshirePolice
