What an amazing development for sickle cell patients. Both my mother (60) and sister (21) died from this awful disease. It is my life's mission to raise awareness and hopefully increase access to care. This disease is so painful and debilitating. It is also tremendously underfunded and understood. May this cure be the reality for sickle cell patients worldwide.
