let's be real. Aqua wasn't really not interested in Akane he was interested in her because of her acting skills, personality and she can help him with his revenge. it's not really love though. and in kanas case.He couldn't help but feel an attraction toward her, to the point he can forget about the revenge for an moment. it's a lot different from his feelings for Akane.

Aqua trusted Akane with things he trusted almost nobody else with, and that alone says more than a thousand edited clips. At the end of the day, liking Kana is an opinion. Claiming that Aqua's entire happiness revolved around Kana as if it's a confirmed fact is not."
