I totally agree with this. This has been my principle in life. Even though I naturally feel sad and cry when it happens—because I am human and I have a heart—it is always better not to hurt anyone. It is safer for our Akhirah, and somehow, another kind of happiness always comes afterward.

I think it's better to have boundaries. you can suffer so much to the point it won't feel worth it. so setting boundaries can reduce the sufferings. you aren't hurting anyone but you are protecting yourself
