The only thing I miss about billing ambulance claims was reading the run reports. Most of them were routine and boring, but once in a while I’d get one that made it all worth it lol

Worse for me than locked-in, was learning the hard way that I have anesthesia resistance, where even the paralytic wore off and I was fully conscious and started to move during a surgery, to ask them to change the radio station… their response was “do not move, we are inside your leg!” (I had an extensive DVT from my ankle to just below my heart and so many PE’s they couldn’t count them, because I have APS… the surgery was to remove as much of the emboli as possible to save my leg, and they ignored when I brought up my dental horror story, that I didn’t think mattered… they also lied and put me on a mental health hold while in the ICU saying I woke up suicidal, and didn’t release that hold until their attorneys showed up saying they wouldn’t discharge me until I signed papers to say that I wouldn’t sue the hospital or surgeons… that was tristar centennial hospital in Nashville). So for those afraid of locked in syndrome, now worries! It can always be worse!!! 😅
