President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that the U.S. will temporarily halt its naval operation escorting stranded commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, saying “significant progress” had been made toward negotiations with Iran. The mission, known as “Project Freedom,” launched just one day earlier to help guide ships through the strategically critical waterway after weeks of escalating tensions disrupted global shipping routes. In a Truth Social post, Trump said the pause came through “mutual agreement” and was influenced by mediation efforts from Pakistan, which has reportedly been serving as a go-between for Washington and Tehran. He emphasized, however, that the broader U.S. blockade targeting Iranian ports would remain active. Iranian state media celebrated the decision, portraying it as a retreat by the United States after what it described as repeated failures to fully reopen the shipping corridor. The move appeared to contradict statements made earlier Tuesday by top U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine, who had all stressed that the operation would continue to guarantee freedom of navigation in the Persian Gulf. Rubio said the administration still preferred diplomacy over prolonged conflict, while warning that Iran’s recent actions threatened regional stability. Hegseth added that the current ceasefire with Iran remained fragile and under close watch. The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most important shipping lanes, carrying roughly 20% of global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies. Tensions surged after U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran earlier this year, followed by Iranian retaliation and disruptions to maritime traffic. Despite a ceasefire announced in April, several attacks and confrontations have continued in and around the strait. Late Tuesday, UK maritime officials reported that a cargo ship had been struck by an unidentified projectile in the area. Trump later told reporters he still believes a negotiated settlement with Iran is possible and said he plans to discuss regional shipping concerns with both Japan and Chinese President Xi Jinping during upcoming diplomatic talks.#fyp #viral
Social media influencer Ash Trevino has pleaded guilty to fraud-related charges as court documents reportedly reveal allegations that she maintained relationships with dozens of incarcerated men, including some convicted of violent crimes. Trevino, whose full name is Ashley Lopez-Trevino, entered guilty pleas to welfare fraud and fraudulent securing of document execution on Aug. 5. The 37-year-old Texas mother of three was ordered to repay $16,799.95 to the state. As part of the plea agreement, Trevino was also sentenced to two years of community supervision, 120 hours of community service, financial counseling and an anti-theft course. Court filings obtained by TMZ reportedly allege that Trevino had relationships with approximately 50 to 75 inmates in the Texas prison system. Prosecutors claimed some of those inmates were serving time for serious violent offenses, including aggravated robbery and murder. The alleged relationships were mentioned in connection with the fraud case, but Trevino did not plead guilty to any crime involving her relationships with incarcerated men. Prosecutors also raised concerns about Trevino’s social media activity, reportedly accusing her of soliciting money from followers and pointing to sexually explicit livestreams and videos allegedly posted online. The case dates back to December 2023, when Trevino was arrested in Texas on active felony warrants. She was booked into the Ellis County Jail and later released on a $15,000 bond. She was taken back into custody in March after prosecutors accused her of violating conditions of her release by consuming and purchasing alcohol. Her attorneys disputed those allegations at the time. Trevino has built a large and controversial online presence by sharing details about her personal life and relationships. She has openly discussed dating incarcerated men, a practice critics have dubbed “inmate hopping.” Her online behavior has repeatedly generated backlash, including controversies involving her children and relationships. Trevino has previously said her teenage children faced ridicule because of her social media presence. Following her guilty plea, Trevino avoided additional jail time but must comply with the conditions of her supervision and repay the nearly $17,000 owed to the state.#fyp #viral

Rapper Blueface sparked debate after pushing back against the claim that Black people cannot be racist, arguing instead that “Black people are the most racist out of all the races.” Blueface appeared on the Fresh and Fit podcast on September 15, 2026, where the hosts and panel discussed several topics, including race and racism. During the conversation, one woman argued that Black people can be prejudiced but cannot be racist. She pointed to herself as the darkest-skinned woman on the panel while defending her position. Blueface strongly disagreed. He argued that Black people can be racist toward other racial groups and frequently stereotype people based on their race, ethnicity, accents, or culture. He also challenged the idea that someone’s skin color gives their argument more authority. The discussion continued when a panelist questioned why certain behavior from Black people may be described as prejudice while similar behavior from white people is labeled racism. Blueface responded by pointing to the definition of racism, arguing that race itself—not membership in one particular racial group—determines whether behavior can be considered racist. He maintained his position that Black people are capable of racism and said he believes racial stereotyping is common within the Black community. The exchange quickly became one of the more heated moments of the podcast, with Blueface rejecting the idea that racism is something only certain racial groups can engage in.#fyp #viral
