@tractortom14: Wrapping up this year’s haylage bales. Wrapping haylage helps keep the grass green inside the bale and preserves some of the natural sugars and feed value. It sits somewhere between hay and silage — retaining more nutrients than hay, but not quite as much as silage. It’s also one of the noisier jobs on the farm, with the wrapper constantly running and the plastic stretching around each bale. Thankfully, once you get into a rhythm, it’s a relatively straightforward job and satisfying to watch the rows of freshly wrapped bales building up.
