Darcie standing on her feet🥹 We do a lot of work with the occupational therapists, finding different ways of helping Darcie. A lot of the time she just lays on her back, which as a result has left her with a big wound on the back of her head. We never put Darcie in a position where we believe it’s going to cause additional pain and trauma to her skin. If it relieves some pressure on the back of her head then that’s good. But on the other hand, if we find it causes more pain then we’d stop immediately and look at other options. We know Darcie and she’d tell us in her way, if it was too much. This isn’t us trying to get Darcie to walk or stand on her own feet unaided. It’s just about relieving some pressure on one of her worst wounds. We’re still learning about EB even after 18 months. We simply just want the best for her and give her the best chance at LIFE. One small step at a time🦋 #EBawareness #fyp #foryoupage #babytok #darciesstory
