@michelle.oneill.sf: 🚆 A transformative investment of almost £200 million has today been confirmed for the Belfast–Dublin and Derry–Belfast train services. This will cut journey times, modernise tracks on both routes, and ensure the new hourly Belfast–Dublin service continues to be funded into the future! 👏🏻 #Belfast #Dublin #Derry #SinnFein #Ireland
Love your positivity, what an absolutely brilliant job you’re doing since you have taken this position. ❤️

1 billion ..but all spent on belfast to Dublin...derry line still a one track line to serve derry Tyrone donegal and fermanagh ..takes 2hours 15 mins for a train to belfast but driving takes 1hour 10 mins ...instead of spending 1 billion on a shiny new station and 8 trains it could of went towards opening old lines to connect the whole north west

Trains to and from the airport would be amazing? And what about reopening the trains to the west?

Still no trains west of the Bann except one disastrous slow coastal route to Derry that gets wrecked every time there's a storm, and still no train to the airport. Reopen the Antrim->Toome->Magherafelt line, from there you can do an actual fast over-land route to Derry. Also opens up the option to connect to Cookstown and dungannon, creating a rail ring around lough neagh.

Truth be told :
The trains should run past the international airport and a train station at both airports

Michelle we need faster trains from Derry and more passing places, the journey takes far too long. The 212 is faster but hasn't got the same comfort and no toilets
