Pt.5 | My fall bakery menu 🍂 Recipe below 👇🏼  With fall almost here, it’s officially Harry Potter movie marathon season ✨So of course, I had to bake the birthday cake Hagrid made for Harry! 🎂💌 🤎Ingredients For the Cake (Makes 3 x 7-inch layers): * 220 mL whole milk * 1 tablespoon white vinegar * 250 g plain (all-purpose) flour * 350 g caster sugar (or granulated sugar) * 65 g unsweetened cocoa powder * 2 teaspoons baking powder * 1½ teaspoons bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) * 1 teaspoon salt * 110 g sunflower oil * 1 tablespoon vanilla extract * 220 mL boiling water For the Buttercream: * 226 g unsalted butter, softened * 450 g powdered sugar  * 4 tablespoons double cream * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract * 1 teaspoon salt * Green and pink gel food colouring (for decoration) 🤎Method Cake: 1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line three 7-inch tins. 2. Mix milk and vinegar; let sit 5 mins to curdle. 3. Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. 4. Add oil, vanilla, and milk mixture; mix well. 5. Slowly add boiling water, stirring until smooth. 6. Divide batter between tins and bake 25–30 mins or until a skewer comes out clean. 7. Cool in tins 10 mins, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Buttercream & Decorating: 1. Beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add icing sugar, then cream, vanilla, and salt. Beat until smooth. 2. Set aside 2 tbsp buttercream and tint green for writing. 3. Stack and fill cake layers, then cover with pink-tinted buttercream. 4. Pipe “Happee Birthdae Harry” in green on top.
