I think prioritizing your friends is important. In moderation and certain situations. Example you are on a 5 day trip with your friends you rarely see. You tell you partner ahead of time, “I haven’t seen them in a long time, I want to spend day 1-4 with them. But we can do some couple stuff on day 5 or in the evening”. Make some time with you partner on any trip, plan ahead of time so your partner knows what to expect. Also plan stuff with just your partner.

i get the Iceland trip, cause it was a trip planned to meet friends she barely ever meet, and the gf coming along was an afterthought. she's with her gf ever day, but almost never meet these friends, so it's fine to focus on the friends for this short amount of time. that was the point of the trip. the rest of it tho, nope.

just match her energy. go out eith your own friends all the time instead of making plans with her. she wants to push the trip because its too much time off work? thats okay ill go with "insert random name here". she wants to go to the bar instead of the street fair? im gonna hang out here ill meet you there. then just go home. 🤷♂️she will either get upset and fight for it. or you guys break up 🤷♂️either way clearly not compatible.

You all say prioritizing friends is more important? Why?? Sure we all need social and deep relationships that you can trust, I agree 100% but if you didn’t prioritize someone then they’re not important enough to you. That’s the reality. Even in friend groups, if someone cares less about another person in their group they would put everyone else above them. So, the fact that she puts more effort into her friendships than her partner means she doesn’t even like/care about them and that makes me wonder why people like her are in a romantic relationship if you don’t really like or care about the other party? 🤔

I see all the comments here like black and white....guys we are literally in 2026 you can have private moments with your partner and trips or whatever makes you happy and you can have thing as well that involves your friends....you are literally a call away to everyone. you dont have to choose this or that. you can have a healthy amount of everything...for god sake
