@nazperezz: How I Connect Instantly with Anyone: Tip #1: Meet people where they are.     the #1 mistake people make in an interview? they care more about their next question than the person in front of them.    i prepped a month of questions for colman domingo. dream interview for me.    he walked up last in line on the carpet, and he was exhausted. you could see it on him.  so i threw the questions out.    i didn’t open with anything i’d written. i opened with where he actually was. “looks like you had to muster up some energy for this one... what is this, your 128th premiere?”    he laughed. the room got lighter. then i asked the one thing i was actually curious about in that moment. i’d noticed he plays hugo with his hands open, the way his partner raúl has sat for twelve years. “oh,” he said. “you noticed that.”    that’s the whole thing. that’s connection.    people think a killer interview is about the perfect question. it’s not. it’s two people actually meeting. the audience isn’t watching for the answer. they’re watching to feel two humans connect.    i’ve spent 14 years interviewing some of the biggest names in the world, and this is the stuff no one teaches you.    so i’m going to start giving it away. follow me as i break down how i connect instantly, one interview at a time.     #interviewtips #redcarpet #hosting
