@drdarrenscotthealth: Three things I'd do today if I had Hashimoto's or hypothyroid. I see it constantly, women on thyroid medication still dealing with weight gain, fatigue, and brain fog. They tell their doctor and get excuses instead of answers. It's your age, it's menopause, you're a mom. Here's what I'd actually do. One, get a full expanded thyroid panel, TSH, reverse T3, free T3, T3 uptake, and both antibodies, TPO and thyroglobulin. Two, check ferritin with a full iron panel, TIBC and saturation, plus inflammatory markers, because ferritin alone can't tell you if it's iron or inflammation.
