I’ve been rolling MSTU puts aggressively but it’s to a point where in order to get credit I’d need to roll out several months. In this situation, do you usually just get assigned and do 0DTE or do you roll even if it’s several months out?

Ernie - this is definitely informative. But your selling above your cost basis. You’re green on both ends. What if your cost basis here is 7.50 and it’s trading below 5.50.

I started selling options in January and have been only been able to afford to sell one to three options at a time. I already owned some JOBY and grew it up to over 400 shares. Selling four options felt like a huge victory! So I've been throwing my earnings made selling other ETFs into buying MSTU and bringing my average cost down. But now l have over 2100 shares. I'm gambling l guess, but of she shoots up, it'll be like hitting the lottery.

So do you give any consideration to delta in your strike selection?

What are your feelings on SOFI? My current cost basis doesn’t qualify for a covered call that has a worthwhile premium. Did you keep your position?

this is okay if you're at a loss but not too far from your cost basis I.e. out of the money still yields something. obviously this will be less effective if the equity is way way down. the way I have dug myself out before is not selling calls but selling more puts to lower cost basis by buying shares, but this is only okay if you are truly at the bottom!

Are there less volatile stocks that you use for options that might not have as much upside but still give you around 1%?
