🥶 DIY COLD PLUNGE FOR UNDER £100 With the UK feeling more like the Sahara this week, I thought I'd show you how we built our cold plunge at home without spending thousands. The truth is, you don't need an expensive setup. We started with a second-hand IBC container, cut the top out, gave it a good clean and built a simple timber surround to make it look a bit more presentable. The whole thing cost less than £100 using reclaimed materials and bits I already had lying around. Keeping the water clean is surprisingly easy too. We use a small floating chlorine dispenser, skim out any leaves with a net and every so often pump the water out, give it a rinse and refill it. That's it. No fancy chiller. No £5,000 setup. No monthly membership. Just cold water. I've used this through winter when it was -6°C and now I'm still using it during this heatwave. In fact, I'd happily jump in it right now. 😅 Whether it's for recovery, mental resilience, stress relief or simply cooling down after a long day, it's become one of my favourite DIY projects.
