Any recs for books to read? I find it hard to find one because the popular books right now tends to micromanage their readers. I felt like I am treated like a child who can't understand ambiguity 😭💔

I write plays and movie scripts. And I read a little bit but not really that much. Do I have to read a lot of books to write even though I don’t write books? Not that it would be a problem.

I am trying to bw a writer but I found i find it really hard to read myself, I prefer audio books but im a hit worried that might be a bit of a learning crutch even when I'm paying attention to how the book is written while listening.

Ngl, I kinda do this unconsciously. With manga I read this with pleasure then I go back and look at them on why this happened or that happens

I read every book on writing as a youth and Dorothea's was one of their only great ones for advanced writers. 👍🏻
