Gene is wrong. And the 90s was terrific for music. There is still great music being made, but the industry has changed. How we consume media has changed. The juggernauts are dying out. But being replaced by smaller great bands. You have to look for them 🙂

Gene is 100% wrong. Bands like Nirvana, Green Day, Rage Against the Machine, Alice in Chains, Bad Religion, NOFX, Pantera, RCHP, Cannibal Corpse, Nine Inch Nails etc. were huge in the 90s and thats not including all the great punk, metal and rock bands to come out the 90s if I did we’d be here all day. Even in the 2000s bands like Green Day, MCR, Anti-Flag(sucks the singer was a creep), Rise Against, Fall out boy, Korn, Slipknot, Linkin Park etc. we’re all huge and that’s not including all the great punk, rock and metal bands that were around in the 2000s even today there are still plenty of newer punk bands and metal and rock bands that exist only difference now is you have to actually look for them rock isn’t dead it’s just not on the mainstream anymore like it was in the 90s or even 2000s

90s and 2000s had great rock bands, but it died in 2010s. 90s had nirvana, AIC, chili peppers, oasis, Radiohead, etc. 2000s had linkin park, chili peppers still, nickelback, System of a Down, three days grace

He's right about rock being dead, but left out the 90's and 2000's. Rock died around 2010. Along with most cinema. You can thank the Smart phone for that
