U don’t price clothing as cost+ like what ur doing (most local brands do this , calculate cost and add 100%). Rather It is based on positioning of the brand not total cost. You do this kind of calculations in an industry or product that is repetitive like producing a bottle of water in factory..

If you’re aiming to sell 800 pieces, I’d recommend producing around 1,0001,100 pieces. That gives you a buffer for returns, fake orders, and any stock that might not sell by the end of the season. It will eat into your margins a bit, but overall the margins still look quite healthy and good luck ya bro 🤝

Hey Buddy, First of all I would like to praise the math behind your calcs, if you don’t mind i can add a thing or two, Most brands that i see has one of two issues, either a high inventory volume which causes their running cost to be high at a certain period, that could be solved with a lean inventory management, Another thing they do not have a targeted revenue or a targeted cost from the start, if you’re going to have a targeted revenue that means you’re going to base your cost cycle on the item competitiveness with the market “possibly exceeding those numbers” If you’re targeting a certain cost margin, that means your pricing will be the competitive edge you need to focus on. As well you would have to check what’s a foxed cost amount that whatever changes with the production volume those costs will remain the same, Those costs will be easier to control as you’ll more service providers/vendors to supply or offer you with, Hope it helps!

انا cost accountant 2years experience وعندي كام ملاحظه وان شاء الله تفيدك اول حاجه ال Transportation اللي انت راميها فال COGS دي لو قاصد بيها شحن ال Raw Materials لمخزنك عشان تبدأ تصنع ف انت كدا صح ولو قصدك بيها ال shipping للعملا ف غلط مش بتتحط ف ال COGS لان ال cogs دي بس بيتحط فيها ال Manufacturing Cost دي نقطه . من اللي عرفت اسمعها عشان انت بتتكلم بسرعه بالنسبالي . وعايز اوصلك نقطه ف ال pricing مبتتقسمش تقسيمتك دي خالص انت مش هتعمل P&L ف التسعير انت بتمشي تحت كذا policy سواء cost plus or market based وغيرو بس طالما انت حاطط desire margin يبقا انت ماشي cost plus ف راجع تاني تسعيرك وحط اكتر من سيناريو وحاول تخلق range تعمل بيه offers قدام او scaling وربنا يوفقك

انت نسيت تحسب اهم حاجه وهي ال BEP لأن دي اصلا بتعرفك ان بعد بيع كام تيشرت هيبدأ يدخلك ربح وبعدين اي ال cost margin دي؟ مفيش حاجه اسمها فيه حاجه اسمها profit margin زي م قولت و ال contribution margin و ال gross margin انما cost margin دي اول مرة اسمعها بصراحه
