This movie & hoppers really shows my issue with Pixar, the movies are definitely structured to push a more progressive & meaningful message but Pixar doesn’t go through with it out of fear. Hoppers could’ve touched on capitalism and actual environmental justice but doesn’t out of fear. This movie should’ve emphasized how parents can enable screen time addiction with their kids but doesn’t out fear & alienation.

i was kinda worried the movie would take a hard anti tech stance which i don’t necessarily disagree with but it just wouldn’t resonate or reach anyone so im glad it was somewhat lukewarm

The “imagination” sequences were so well done. And when Jessie found the lunchbox 🥺. I think my biggest complaint is a lot of the side characters figuratively and even literally get shelved.

I’m on the Fense because on one hand as an adult I can see that Bonnie having the iPad in her room is a very bad thing, BUT her parents being part of the problem is probably to subtle for the 6 year olds in the theatre to grasp. Other then that solid movie

I don’t think they’re the villains. They’re just trying to do right by their kid. Even Lilypad isn’t a villain. She’s trying to help Bonnie, she’s just going about it the wrong way.

The movie was really bad. It felt like shorts that were for Disney plus. They were stitched together in the last minute.

Idk, I felt the whole army of Buzzes was weird and really had nothing to do with the storyline at all(?), it felt like those scenes were just thrown in there to add time to the film. Also, I wish there was more screen time for all the og characters, it just didn’t have that true Toy Story feel.

The worst of the series. I get what they were trying to do, but the suspension of disbelief just got to a point. So many plot holes and ridiculous things, I was not a fan.
