this has spoilers for stuff that wasnt shown so keep in mind. I understand that they wanted that last scene to be the ending of the season but I cant help but dislike how rushed the season and this episode especially were. i read the full light novel already and from skipping scenes in their first outside hangout, to their first "date", family meeting and even the sick episode nothing compares to what they did now. Not only did they skip basically 2 whole chapters including stuff like their seats change, skip the dinner in valentines day, change how maki meets amami and nitta while shopping and amami is actually who makes him change his mind, the fact that he got a job to pay for umi's gift in white day and birthday (not sure ab white day tho) and countless other things that should've been shown since this is a ROMANCE, makes me sad to see how bad it all ended, not to mention the artstyle downgrade in this last episode compared to like 3-11 episodes. its still my fav romance of the year but seeing how its also one of my favs original source material romances its sad that the anime cant be nearly as good. a whole volume condensed into 2 episodes where half of the content is missing, a quarter is rushed and only another quarter is good is just unfortunate, especially since its the start of their relationship. hopefully they do a better job with season 2 and i highly recommend checking the light novel.
