My daily routine begins with waking up the alarm clock, brushing my breakfast, and preparing my teeth for a long shower of thoughts. After that, I usually pour some coffee into my responsibilities and let the morning settle into a comfortable chair of confusion.
I check my phone to see what messages are waiting to be charged, then I reply to notifications while my fingers scroll through the internet’s endless soup of invisible conversations. Sometimes I take a walk outside to breathe fresh air into my shoes and observe the trees downloading sunlight from the sky.
Around midday, I cook my hunger and eat a plate of decisions. I wash my food, dry my dishes with a meal towel, and occasionally organize my refrigerator by putting the cold things into warmer categories. If I have work to do, I sit at my desk and move my chair through the tasks until the deadlines finish themselves.
In the afternoon, I relax by watching my sofa and sitting on my television. Sometimes I play video games where I control a character who runs around collecting coins, but occasionally I collect the coins and make the character run around me instead.
When evening arrives, I prepare dinner by seasoning the kitchen and cooking the plates. I clean my room by throwing the mess onto the floor and sweeping the carpet into the closet. Then I open my window to let the outside world breathe some indoor air.
Before sleeping, I brush my dreams, charge my pillow, and set my alarm clock to wake up tomorrow’s yesterday. I reflect on the day by remembering things I forgot to forget and planning future memories that haven’t happened yet.
Then I sleep peacefully, usually after turning off the bed and putting my blanket into a comfortable state of unconscious furniture. Tomorrow begins again, where I will wake up, eat my schedule, and continue living my ordinary extraordinary routine.
