@jackiecamardo: Nonna-Maxxing 101: Ep 1. 🍝🍷🥖 let me know, what did your grandparents do that you wish we did more of? Follow along for a nonna-maxxed summer with lots of walking, fresh pasta, and the Italian-Nonna approved secrets 🍓making a summer strawberry galette, let me know if you want the recipe! topped with marscapone but vanilla ice cream would be SO good! • f/t my red @KitchenAid and @Williams Sonoma apron #nonnamaxxing #italiansummer
This “wellness” trend is so funny to me. My Nonna just fries fish and yells 😂

My grandma came over from England as a war bride. She turned a 100 this year. We were always greeted with tea and tea cookies as a kid. 100% should be brought back

I never had an Italian nonna, but my grandma married rich & traveled the world solo finding beads and designing incredible jewelry

Ahhh I love this! My Nonna, who we called Nana cuz my cousin couldn’t say Nonna 😂, always gave us our own tiny espresso cup with chocolate milk in it, played Old Maid with us daily, and made fresh tortilla daily (never cooked until she married my grandfather from Mexico). Immigrated here and raised her kids by herself. Strongest woman I know and would laugh at tracking protein 😂

The backyard gardens that supplied the whole neighborhood!!! The rise of grabbing whatever you had fresh that day and using it.

Every single Sunday- all the family got together at my grandparents house for Sunday dinner at 2pm sharp!!! She had the tiniest kitchen- yet pumped out enough homemade from scratch food for 10 -12people… with everyone taking leftovers home too!

My grandparents had people over every afternoon for espresso and cookies at like 3/4pm. Someone was always popping in, some relative, a neighbor, someone would always pop in for a hour to sit and gossip. I wish we still did that

My grandparents had a sit down dinner every night with a set table and tea. They also walked to work or road a bike each day(they were older when they did this), and they had dessert each night.

Love this! My Dallas diva grandmother dressed up and did her makeup every day. She drank three things - water, bourbon, and coffee… not necessarily in that order!
