@changeradiozw: EVEN THE COLONIALISTS HAD THE DECENCY TO GO BACK TO THE PEOPLE In Parliament today, Senator Zvidzai rejected CAB 3, arguing that it takes away legitimacy. He said that the people must be allowed to decide whether they want it or not through a referendum. He also opposed the transfer of voter roll management from ZEC to the Registrar General. CAB 3 seeks to take away the general public's right to vote for the President and instead give that power only to MPs and Senators. Zvidzai also argued that allowing the President to appoint ten more senators would give him unnecessary power and undermine the principle of the separation of powers.
