But what are you wanting to change? Free childcare? The school day to be longer to suit your job? Maternity leave is for as long as you want it. Most people who canโt afford to be off go back sooner.

There are more working mums than there used to be, things are more expensive and the money has to come from somewhere. I worked 13yrs of shift work so I could be there in the day for my kids. I couldnโt afford childcare and that was the sacrifice I had to make. Yeh itโs rubbish, it near killed me with the lack of sleep. Would I do it againโฆ yep in a heartbeat
