If you ask me I'll say Diplomacy is confrontation in a softer font whereas Confrontation demands a winner. Confrontation proves a point while Diplomacy preserves a relationship. And the modern Diplomacy seeks to be interested in what lasts than what wins in the short run. I’d vote for the option that leaves room for margins and for us.
