The "looking wrong before looking obvious" part is what gets people every time. Nobody buys the bottom because the bottom doesn't feel like the bottom. It feels like the end.

I wonder what their actual plan is for buying. Since they will never believe a bottom is a bottom regardless of price, will they wait for a move up from the bottom and retest before buying which could give them an entry at these levels same prices as now, or will they fomo in at 80k? You don’t confirm a bottom until after the event so I don’t understand their plan. Better to be accumulating now with the view it may fall lower and accumulate more, at lower prices. It’s very hard to buy the blood of you have zero financial commitment already in play in a project. I was fresh in 2022 and very much learning, watching YouTubers every day, who told us to wait for 10k, then January 1st 2023 arrived and I missed the lows, lots of alts did a 3x in the January into February and I had no exposure, except for my naivety chasing things.

Things people forget happen before crypto bull runs: Nobody believes the bottom is in. The macro still looks messy. The dollar usually gets one last scary push. Everyone calls every bounce a bull trap. Influencers keep warning about lower. Alts look dead. ETH/BTC usually still looks terrible. Liquidity rotates quietly before price confirms it. Bad news stops making new lows. The first move feels fake. The crowd waits for “confirmation” while the market is already repricing. And the people who were early look wrong right before they look obvious.
