We remember Noor Mukadam, Sana, and countless other girls and women who were raped, murdered, and made a nishana of structural failure and unchecked brutality. The statistics in Pakistan tell a horrifying story. Thousands of cases of violence against women and children are reported every year—yet the conviction rate remains abysmally low, hovering around just 1-3%. For every case that makes the headlines, dozens more are buried in silence due to social stigma, fear, and a broken justice system. When will our streets be safe?
