@washingtonpost: Up to two million honeybees were let loose on a Texas town after a truck carrying hundreds of beehives overturned into a ditch. First responders and local beekeepers worked together to recover colonies after the crash. Chris Moore, owner of Moore Honey, along with his son and several employees, joined the effort to help the bees, but he estimated that only about a quarter of the hives will survive. It’s common for large beekeeping operations to move hives around the country to provide commercial pollination for agriculture.
