@djericrhodes: I have an interesting story about this one... I made it a few years ago, and last week I played it the 10 year vow renewal party I did in Lake Tahoe. The event was basically like a wedding reception and it was an absolute blast. Both Melanie and Kevin love all kinds of music, but specifically Mel has a soft spot for latin music and Kev country music. I figured this would be a perfect blend of their two styles, and I decided to make it the second to last song of the night (the last one was "Closing Time"). The reaction I got from them was incredible. The LOVED it. Even though they're longtime followers of mind, they hadn't seen me post it, so it was brand new to them. The next day Kevin told me how special that song was for the reasons I mentioned, but "Die A Happy Man" specifically is a song he plays for Melanie on a regular basis. He couldn't thank me enough - a reward in and of itself. Just proof that these little mashups I make can have a real emotional impact on the people who listen to them.
