How do you propose shifting us from a competition economy to a gift economy? And how to reconcile the erosion of trust in spiritual practices in the west? Many people lack the education to see this kind of talk as nothing more than woo woo; history is untaught and women with crystals have become the face of new age spirituality. Personally, it’s hard for me to not worship science as science offers subjectively concrete proof regarding things once thought mystical, such things as the aura being the body’s electromagnetic field and so on. The thing that always stops me is that these terms we use now, waves and particles, super symmetry etc were one called the whims and manifestations of gods. I feel like people have bought fully into transhumanism, though it went unnoticed as all successful social engineering programs do, and soon, the worship of science will become the norm however, it won’t be through worship or ritual. It will be trusting the experts to interpret and convey reality and experience. I believe we’ve already wandered too far down this path I just mentioned, a priest and a politician seem to wear the same hat though their power exists in different eras. Course correcting towards a matriarchal would require walking backwards to places we are better suited and I fear the group would not survive such a paradigm shift as it’s currently organized. Digging a new path presents its own challenges but I believe it also holds the least amount of harm. And my next natural thought leads me to the study wherein an entire generation of male chimpanzees passed away from illness, leaving only young males and females. Naturally, the following generation of males were less aggressive and more egalitarian. To me, that is the level of change required to dig a new path and it’s ethically unpalatable. I’m losing the thread here a bit, just rambling away.
