My cells are not resistant to insulin which is why I have problems with low blood sugar, I just have an extremely high insulin level. My pancreas is over producing insulin. My A1C has never been above 5 and my blood sugar is 85-90 all the time until I eat and as soon as I eat something it nose dives. I eat a healthy high protein near zero carb diet, I drink water 99.9% of the time. At one time I was on 4,000mg of metformin a day to treat “insulin resistance” and it made me so sick and my blood sugar so low that I wanted to walk in front of a bus. One size fits all doesn’t work for medical issues.
