There are quite a few ways to finish armholes, but using double fold bias tape has been the most common way for me recently. When I first started sewing and using bias tape it felt like such a challenge and I did SO much seam ripping. I still do sometimes😅. If you are starting out, store bought bias tape is easier to work with (always buy more than you think you need) and the iron is your best friend.
