as a trained public health expert, I ALWAYS close the while lid. flushing sends germs up to 2m ayaw from the toilet, and I don't want that all over my towels and surfaces.

I always put it down but I close the lid too cuz when I was little an episode of "Rescue 911 with William Shatner" gave me traumatic OCD about it. 😂
