When I was doing research for a gaming PC/laptop - the things you asked for at the end drove up the cost of what I wanted by at least a grand. Even if I were to build it myself, it would still be expensive. Idk in what world people think building a PC is cheap, but not anymore. Cheaper? Yes. Cheap? Hell no. ----- GPUs alone cost at least $500 on the cheaper end (and that's before companies driving up prices). So can we stop pretending Valve is crazy for this? Because I'm going to stop pretending. Is the steam machine perfect? Hell no. Is it a decent alternative? Yes.

with this prices they definetly failed to Go against normale consoles, even with The price-ups recently. I really wished for it before it came Out and now im more interested in buying an actual gaming PC instead of this. This....This is Bullshit.

It doesn't compare to a gaming rig at all. So it's aimed at console players at over double the price.... Take a hit on the hardware and make your money back with steam purchases. You can't sell this when console players can buy all three main consoles for the cost of your mini PC.

Tbf, the GabeCube is as expensive as it is because of RAM prices. And RAM prices are as high as they are because of AI. Valve has nothing to do with that. Mucrosoft and Alphabet however....

it's supposed to replace gaming consoles. not PC .. and that's kind of why I want one I don't want a big box PC so the steam machine is perfect for me portable PC . plus no subscription like console
