made me cry, man. at the after party for my mom's funeral Mass as I go to lay down on the couch inside my aunt's house she asks me to change the music source to the radio. I'm annoyed and tired AF with a big party starting in the back yard. as my head hits the sofa the DJ plays a song I'd never heard on the radio in the 23 years I was alive, THE song she said is a near perfect expression of her love for us as a mom, Blue Sky- The Allman Brothers Band. I laid there and ugly cried, then got up partied with the people she couldn't, tired but smiling.
