the sun has always fascinated me. The way it burns endlessly, and how it destroys itself a little each day just so the world around feels warm. People call it dangerous to look too much, but they rarely say why we try anyway. Maybe because there are things so beautiful that they hurt from loving them seems justified. You were like that to me. Not in the simple way that people compare others to the sun. But in the way you reach parts of me that I thought were eternally cold. You illuminate every hidden corner. Every quiet fear, every lonely place I try to bury. And even knowing that loving something so bright could destroy me, I don't think I would look away. Because if my world did have to plunge into darkness, I would want it to be after I saw something divine. After I saw such pure warmth that all the shadows inside me disappeared. So if the price of loving you was losing everything else I could ever see, I think I'd still choose it. Because if you were the sun, I'd keep looking at you. Even knowing it would take away my sight. But I'll know the last thing I see is your perfection
