Another trend is songs with three identical choruses. There’s no reason to escalate or change the chorus throughout a song if only a small part of the song is being played on TikTok’s.

It feels similar to the late aughts/early 2010s when dubstep became popular and suddenly all pop songs had a buildup and drop for the purpose of later remixing into dubstep versions.
