@bakhe.dlamini: My wife loved me when I had nothing. We actually met at high school. I literally didn't have savings for a wedding & lobola when we got married 15 years ago. All we did by faith. We weren't lazy & disorganized people. We were strategic, hardworking, humble, full of faith people. We brought all our 3 kids to this world with no budget or guarantee. ❇️ Life, marriage, the wedding is about taking the 1st step. I know many who can't settle because they are waiting for a budget. Tomorrow may never come. By the way, I'm a marriage & family counselor. I shared my vision with my wife during our prom night, 20 November 2002. We sat that evening at our table, whilst other guys were fondling girls at the dance floor. I told her where I was headed; she was excited. We had similar values. ❇️ Another lesson: never marry someone you don't share same values with. ❇️Another lesson: be humble. Don't do short cuts, compete with none. Move at your pace as a couple. We have many couples trying too hard because they want to keep up with the Jones, end in debt or divorce. I owe my wife this: 1. To never cheat on her. She's never cheated on me. And yes, men who don't cheat exist. Cheating is a choice. If you've cheated before, I'm not here to bash you. All begins with the choice you make going forward; not what you've done yesterday. 2. To make every cent ends at our home. Marriage and secrecy doesn't work. Transparency is key. You have to register properties under your names, family trusts. You have to draft wills. Have a clear succession plan. Every cent has to end home. Don't be distracted by money. Focus. Work for your family. 3. Fun, the best of memories. Life is short.
