@safari_davis: Great Egret (Ardea alba) This species nests in wetland colonies, often high in trees with other herons, ibises, cormorants, and Anhingas. Both parents incubate pale blue-green eggs and feed chicks by regurgitation. Newly hatched young wear white down, grow fast, and may fledge around 6 weeks after hatching. Larger chicks often attack or starve smaller siblings when food is limited. #GreatEgret #BabyBirds #WetlandBirds
