@tim.climbs.everest: One of the most remarkable features of this Everest season was the ladders in the Khumbu Icefall. The famous section with five ladders connected together over a deep crevasse became a personal challenge for me. Crossing a single ladder is one thing, but crossing several linked together is something else entirely. Every step requires focus, especially while wearing crampons, which can easily catch or get stuck on the rungs. You’re standing over a deep crevasse, slowly moving across these swaying ladders, trying not to overthink it. It really demands your full attention, step by step.
