Isnt this just him minimizing the achievements of black people? Now if he sees a black doctor or pilot he INSTANTLY assumes they couldnt have gotten there based on merit? I dont get how hes fixing the issue

So you don’t see a Dr that had to be top of his class just to get into medical school, complete medical school, a residency in a hospital and passing certification exams. You just see a black person they needed to give something to.

That’s complete incorrect, I’m not black and that has given some level of ignorance to the struggles the black community faces. I am blessed enough to have friends who has shown me some of these instances. While in the service I’ve watched a white man yell at a black service member when they were doing everything correct. That same person didn’t yell at another more senior than the black service member when that white service member were making constant mistakes. I’m not saying I wanted them to yell at the white person, but the bias was there the entire time and it wasn’t until another black service member said something that I was able to notice. People of color have to work way harder to obtain the same level of respect as a white person and as a nation we are blind to it. It’s easy to say you aren’t racist, it’s another thing to be able to see the small injustices and micro-aggressions this still go unchallenged to this day.

If the mere existence of DEI makes you doubt every Black doctor or pilot, that’s not evidence of a lack of merit—it’s evidence that you’re willing to stereotype millions of people without knowing a single thing about their qualifications. That’s prejudice, not logic.
