Pay the cancellation fee. You signed a contract and it specified early cancellation penalties. If you cancel your card they can send you to collections. Probably won't but they can- former gym manager here

Do you have it set up as an ACH or payable thru your debit card? You can put a stop payment on an ACH with your bank or just get a new debit card with a new number

Yeah, that's where they get you. They lock you in on contract. I had the same problem. Although it's been a while since I canceled, i would never join a gym membership unless it's month to month

It will probably go to collection because you r in a legal contract n are responsible for two years of pmts. Just like if you’re on a rental lease.
