She always dreamed to return to a FREE Cuba.. When she got sick, she recorded a song called “Por si acaso no regreso”.. (Just in case I dont return).. It is one of the saddest songs she ever sang. Thank You for sharing Ashley. AZUCAR!!!! 🩷🩷🩷

Something that puts a thorn in my heart is knowing that even after her music was banned in Cuba, Celia never stopped loving her Cuba. When she performed at Guantánamo in 90's, she picked up a small amount of Cuban soil and asked to be buried with it someday. That's how deep her love for Cuba ran. A true legend. 💙
