@woofy_rescue: This tiny stray kitten is only two months old. After going through a very risky eye removal surgery, we thought she could finally catch a break. But just one day after surgery, she completely stopped eating and drinking. When we rushed her back for a checkup, the test came back positive for a serious viral infection. She had only received her first vaccine and hadn't completed her full vaccination schedule. The virus was likely already hiding in her body. The stress from anesthesia, surgery, and recovery put a huge strain on her immune system, allowing the illness to take hold. The surgery wasn't optional. Her eye had already ruptured, and the inflammation was out of control. Without surgery, the infection would have continued spreading throughout her body. It was her only chance. No one expected that after making it through one crisis, she would immediately face another. This little kitten has already endured a severe eye injury, major surgery, and now a serious illness. She's weak, refusing food and water, and receiving daily fluids, immune support, and intensive care. The first 10 days are especially important for kittens fighting this illness. We're doing everything possible and hoping she can find the strength to recover. We also have some good news to share. She had been receiving a standard antibiotic to control inflammation, but the hospital has kindly offered to switch her to a stronger and more effective medication at no extra cost. This should help better control inflammation and reduce the risk of further complications. At the moment, her condition is stable. She hasn't shown major improvement yet, but thankfully she hasn't continued to decline either. For a kitten in her condition, stability is something we're grateful for. We'll continue fighting alongside her every day.
