I don’t know how I feel about this. I want Melanie to explore, but it’s also like you could’ve said all that with leaving sincere’s name out of it regardless of what he said was true you shouldn’t have to put anybody down to make yourself look better.

This is honestly why I still have mixed feelings about Melanie. I understand people may disagree, but I didn’t like how she carried herself in the beginning. The way she treated Kayda, including intentionally not pronouncing her name correctly, came across as disrespectful and seemed rooted in feeling threatened. She only appeared to relax once Kayda moved on to Zach. The same applies to Sol. Melanie made it seem like there was mutual tension over Sincere, when from what we saw it felt much more one-sided. Sol was simply trying to make connections, and Sincere happened to be the person most open to that. I also wasn’t a fan of the “haha, I got my man back” comment. Sincere isn’t a prize, and he’d already shown several red flags. That’s why I struggle to understand the shock now. To be fair, I do think Melanie has shown growth recently, and it’s refreshing to see. But those earlier moments weren’t that long ago, and they say a lot about someone’s mindset. I’ll need to see consistency before I’m convinced this calmer version of Melanie is who she truly is.
